无线 networking is available at Wolfson supplied by the University of Oxford IT service,  based on two services: eduroam and 猫头鹰 (Oxford 无线 LAN).

Oxford Remote Access Account

eduroam

eduroam (education roaming) is the secure, world-wide roaming wireless access service developed for the international research and education community. It allows its users to visit other organisations and use the same username and password as they would use at their home institution. 了解更多.


猫头鹰

This service makes use of the Remote Access accounts and Cisco VPN service that IT 服务 offers to all University members. 了解更多.


Wolf-Fi

This service is only available in College. It can be useful to help diagnose problems with eduroam (as all the equipment involved is run locally) or for devices that don't support the enterprise Wi-Fi features required to log into eduroam.  Keys for devices (one key per device) can be obtained by sending a request to the IT Team. 


Other Members of 公共休息室

Members of 公共休息室 who are not members of the University will need to connect to the 猫头鹰 无线网络, but will have to enter a username and password when they first start using the connection. These passwords will be issued by college IT 工作人员 at 它的手术, to Members of 公共休息室 who require them. This service is unencrypted, and members using it are advised to encrypt sensitive data in some other manner when using this service. In other locations in the University, Members of 公共休息室 may have to connect to the 猫头鹰-Visitor 无线网络.
